Seafood City Waipahu visit. Today is a memorial day holiday. Today I came in during the evening time to pick up some dinner. I actually called in advance to pick up a jolly spaghetti and jolly palabok family packs. I was going to go to my friend’s Ariel place for a crew sleepover. Prior to coming, I went over to go get some drinks at Seafood City, specifically Red Horse beer. It’s been a while since I bought beer. I don’t really drink much actually since I like to keep myself living a healthy lifestyle for the most part. Anyways in regards to the beer and food, I had to make sure we kept it pinoy style at all times. There was hardly a line. The order was ready just in time by the time I came.
Waipahu visit. Today I came over with my friends Nico, Nichelle, and Nicolle. We came over here to get a quick bite to eat before our graduation party gig at the Okinawan Center in Waipio. We came here more so for Nichelle because like many things, she has not gotten a chance to eat the vanilla twirl yet. The dine in beezyness was about 40 percent. There was hardly a line for both Jollibee and Red Ribbon. Today I got a crispy chicken sandwich with a side of jolly fries. She should make that as a combo. It would be really good. Just those two items are about 4 bucks even. If you add a drink that would be even better.
Waipahu visit. Today I came over during the late evening time almost closing time again with friends Randy and Karen. They wanted to meet up so I met up with them since they had businesses to do in the Waipahu area. The dine in beezyness was about 5 percent. Other than us, there was only one other group that was there. Arceli from the FilCom Center was there. Obviously, there was no line for both Jollibee and Red Ribbon. In fact, by the time I arrived, Red Ribbon was already closed by 9pm. I just got a chickenjoy kids meal. They give out a jolly sundae instead of a jolly toy which is good deal! Also, I’m digging these new box containers that Jollibee USA put out recently. It’s like the Philippines kine. I’m also digging how they Filipinized their look overall from the interiors to the exteriors. After they officially closed at 10pm, we stayed for a while. All of a sudden they flickered the lights on us. They said it was on accident but we just took it as it was time for us to leave and we did. We still talked more story outside at the parking lot.
Kalihi visit. Today I came in with friends Brandon, Karen, and Randy after eating dinner at Asahi Grill on Ward. I had some really good Oxtail soup over there. But we came here for dessert. We came in during almost closing time. The dine in beezyness was about 10 percent. The drive thru beezyness was about 0 percent and nothingness since it was almost closing time. I just got a vanlla twirl and so did most of us too. Brandon just got an ultimate burger steak since he didn’t eat yet. It’s actually been a while since I visited the Kalihi location too.
Seafood City Waipahu visit. Today I came over to the Seafood City Waipahu location with a visit alongside my friend Karen during the late evening time. What made us decide to go was because we heard, seen, and found out that they have a new Magnolia ice cream area shop that they have out which is right next to Red Ribbon when you enter the Seafood City Waipahu entrance. So that pretty much prompted us to go. When we arrived there, we were bummed and dissappointed because we found out that they close at 9PM. To compensate for our troubles and sorrows, when in doubt we went to the next best thing, if not the best thing which was of course the almight Jollibee. I got a chicken dippers meal with rice and pineapple quencher. I think they now call the chicken “dip ‘n stripes” as chicken dippers now. I think that makes it easier. I like how they give the option of rice or french fries. I got it with gravy so that you can also drizzle it on the rice. The other sauces were ketchup, honey mustard, and ranch. There was no line since it was almost closing time. We however, still got to dine in. The dine in beezyness was about 10 percent. And then I was pretty much right before on my last visit in regards to getting a free sundae with any purchase of a Jolly Kids Meal.
Ala Moana visit. While cruising around town today before practice, I stopped by the Ala Moana location which I also haven’t visited for a very long time. They finally have desserts up like the pearl coolers and vanilla twirl which they haven’t had for a long time since they first opened. Today I just got a crunchy chicken sandwich plus a peach mango pie. I guess you can say it was my lunch or merienda. There was hardly a line. The sectional beeznyess was about 30 percent. Nothing else has changed much especially the service.
Seafood City Las Vegas visit. Today is the big day. The day that we have all been waiting for. MAYWEATHER VS. PACQUIAO. I personally have been waiting for this fight 6 years ago like many fans out there. But anyways what a perfect way to start off the day by visiting my second Jollibee mainland location at here in Las Vegas. It was cool because like most Jollibees this one is connected to Seafood City. The Filipinos here are interesting, I guess it is because we are here in the mainland or maybe it might just be Las Vegas. There is a different Filipino vibe here than back home. I was walking around Jollibee and people were all like yeah go Pacquiao! And asking me where I got my gear. There was one Tito who wanted to buy my shoes. Maybe it was just because it was the biggest Pacquiao fight on Pacquiao fight day but yeah. The pride was alive for sure. The size of the restaurant was pretty decent. It wasn’t too small or too big and it is right in front of the Seafood City entrance just like back home in Waipahu. The dine in beezyness was about 60 percent. We came over in the noon time. I just got a soft drink over here because their menu is the same like all other Jollibee USA locations. There is a Red Ribbon next door as well. Right across from Jollibee is Chowking! We ate over there and it was good. I haven’t had Chowking since the Philippines. They should create one in Waipahu for sure. Anyways another mainland Jollibee in the books!
Seafood City Waipahu visit. Today I came down during the afternoon time with the homies Josh and Nico. We went down after performing at the Filipino Community Center for a Filipino Martial Arts event. It’s been a long while since I went down to this location. There was no line and the dine in beezyness was about 40 percent. It was pretty poppin’ because it was a Saturday. I got a chickenjoy kids meal with pineapple quencher. They also gave me a sundae on the side which was surprising to see. I think it comes with the meal since they never gave me a toy to go along with it. Can’t wait for the big Mayweather vs. Pacquiao fight this weekend. It’s going to be a blast. I am sure this place will bee busy next weekend. I will be traveling to Las Vegas for the fight of the century. Hopefully I get to visit Jollibee Las Vegas. Until next time.
National City Visit. Today is Holy Saturday and I ran into another Jollibee in San Diego! I guess it was an unexpected visit and ran into it out of the blue when we were going to Goldilocks bakery. After getting some pasalubongs there, I saw Jollibee at the other side of the street so I just had to go and run there and make a visit and stop and order! Unlike the Chula Vista location where it is attached to Seafood City Supermarket , this was a stand-alone Jollibee with a drive-thru! The inside is actually kind of small but it was still pretty poppin’ nonetheless. The dine in beezyness was about 30 percent. There was a small line actually. I just ordered two tuna little big bites because they didn’t have any other different menu items like the Chula Vista one had. After getting some food, I ran back to the others to go grab some real dinner with our friend Brandon later on. The location actually kinda reminded me of Jollibee Kalihi.
Chula Vista San Diego Visit. Today is Good Friday and today is the first day that the crew and I are in the mainland specifically in California for a performance in San Diego. It is our first trip to the mainland in our first mainland performance to San Diego’s Filipino Sun Festival in Mira Mesa. We landed in Los Angeles to travel all the way down San Diego and made a pit stop at Chula Vista Seafood City where Jollibee is located. It was awesome to experience my first Jollibee mainland encounter outside of home in Hawaii as well as in the Philippines. It was truly a groundbreaking moment for the Jollibee Kid. Even though all of the Jollibee USA branches are the same with the same food and same look, what makes the experience and visit new and fresh is the location and community! Today I got a mango sundae which I do not think Jollibee Hawaii has so I just had to small kine sample and get it! It was good! Jollibee Hawaii should have it! There was also Chowking! Unfortunately, I did not order from there. Red Ribbon was of course a part of that. There was also some other Filipino food shoppes like boba tea, Filipino pastries, and even Valerio’s bakeshop. It was an epic moment for me especially. There was no line in Jollibee and the dine in beezyness was about 10 percent. It was a pretty mellow early evening when we went.
