Waipahu. Today I came in during the evening time. Today is my father’s birthday so I came over to buy a bucket of chickenjoy and cake from Red Ribbon. Both sections didn’t have any lines. Today is actually the first time entering and ordering from Jollibee since my 100 days of happiness at Jollibee Kalihi. It felt good to get some Jollibee again after resting from it for a while. The dine in beezyness was about 30 percent. I got a Red Ribbon mango cake. In other Jollibee news, I found out that another Jollibee will be opening up at the new Seafood City supermarket. Here’s my post from instagram….
Ok so recently I went down to the new #SeafoodCity in #Waipahu and found out that they were opening both a new #JollibeeWaipahu and #redribbonwaipahu over there. Ok I understand that sure #jollibee and #redribbon having to bee in a seafood city is like the equivalent to McDonalds having to bee in a Walmart but really now? I would much rather see a CHOWKING in there or another place! I mean c’mon now, there’s already a Jbee/Red Ribbon literally a few blocks away! I am not going to come out of retirement just for this! Lol
Before Kalihi day 100, I went to Waipahi mainly to check up and follow up with management if Jollibee can participate in the Filipino for Kids Summer program which is ending this Saturday. It’s been a while since I went to Waipahu of course but it was pretty poppin. The dine in beezyness was about 40 percent and there was hardly a line for Jollibee and Red Ribbon. Today I just got a ube pearl cooler which was awesome to have on a hot day. I was able to get a confirmation that they will be at the program so the visit was all good. As I was in the Waipahu store and waited for a whole I had some nostalgia internally. Looks like most of these workers are new. I kinda miss the old school Jollibee Waipahu workers. Everybody now bee like Jollibeekid who? Haha.
Kalihi Day 100. This is it. Today is the final day. The finale. The day I end the streak of going to Jollibee by stopping it at 100 days in a row. It’s been fun and enjoyed every moment of it. Coming here was a source of detoxification even it was just for a little while. As I reflect on the moment… 100 days at Waipahu, 100 days at Ala Moana, and now 100 days at Jollibee Kalihi. Wow time really does fly by fast. A lot of people ask why I do this. I don’t know go to www.jollibeekid.com to read more. However, to put it more holistically and philosophically, I was reading one of my friend’s (Joe’s) post about the Dalai Lama saying how man lives as he is never going to die, and then dies never really having lived. Sometimes, you just gotta #chickENJOY life while your still somewhat young. To me, Jollibee is the Filipino version of going to Toy’s R Us, why be a Toy’s R Us Kid when you can be a Jollibee Kid? With the many things I try me best to do within the Fil-Am community, for this whole Jollibee Kid thing and going to Jollibee everyday thing again it wasn’t about the food, it wasn’t about being the Filipino SuperSize me, it wasn’t about comparison and contrast, it was all about creating another outlet for me to express #pinoypride in a somewhat different way; simply the entity of Jollibee as the joy of hanging out and eating at a special place where you feel like home.
Today I came in during the evening time maybe like a half an hour before closing with then Tekniqlingz crew. Shout outs to the homie DLS rocksteady for stopping by for a quickie. I appreciated him for his support and the effort for coming out straight outta work. Big ups to Kulintronica Ron for chillaxin with us on a perfect day and time. Like the previous day 100s, today I got an amazing aloha yumburger meal. I always get the amazing aloha because I call the moment of day 100 the amazing aloha. It is giving amazing aloha to the streak of consecutive visits to Jollibee. It’s not like I am not going to go back forever or anything. I was hoping on that one of the workers Don was there to say what’s up but it’s all good. He was pretty much the only one out of that whole Jollibee Kalihi staff that recognized and appreciated me for the 100 day journey and effort. The dine in beezyness was about 20 percent. The drive thru beezyness was about 10 percent. It was a pretty mellow and chill Thursday night. We were obviously the last ones to leave. After that we took a group pic next to Jollibee. Well I dunno when’s the next time I am going to go to Jollibee again. It could very well be the next day for day 101 or a couple days from now, a few days from now, a week from now, a month from now, etc. As we were dining in, we talked story on my experience here during those 100 days, I would say about 85 to 90 percent of it were solo missions, there was one day were we barely made it by like 2 minutes before closing time, technically this 100 days could be controversial because there was one day when I was in Maui and we did a electronic virtual remote visit via FaceTime with my sister, and there’s just many more. I would say it went by pretty smoothly. My boss Momo put out a facebook copying my style of Jollibee visit blogging. It was her Day 1 on my Day 100 out of all days! Some other people I have to give shout outs to are Nichelle for sending me a celebration song with original Nichelle lyrics and for Mae whom I seldom see nowadays but see made an instagram collage celebrating the moment and occasion. Anyways it was a good Jollibee run. I do marathons. 0 more days to go!
