Ala Moana Day 60. Today marks 60 days full of Jolliness down at Ala Moana Center’s Makai Market Food Court. It’s been 2 months since Jollibee has opened down at Ala Moana. I have been there everyday except for Christmas Day since their opening. It is indeed a good feeling. Today I came over during the lunch time during break. Today was an interesting pair of visits. First, when I came down for lunch, I didn’t have Jollibee for lunch because it was closed for some reason. The gate was down and it seemed not open for business. This made me question but why? Today is not a holiday. Something is probably wrong with their machines or something. So I had Subway for lunch. However, I was at a complete loss. When there is no Jollibee, where else do I eat? I have never given any thought to that because Jollibee has always been there for me. During work, I called them up to see if they were going to open. They said that there was something wrong with their “extras?” I was kinda confused. Maybe I didn’t hear the person correctly. I told my fellow co-workers Momo and Matt and they couldn’t really figure it out. We assume that it is their workers or something. Maybe not enough at the time. The person said that they might open later on once they have the problem fixed. I was optimistic that they will open later. Jollibee always provides and triumphs. The streak will live on and it will not die at 60 days. My co-workers were also worried about my streak and continuation of the Jollibee Ala Moana 100 day experience. So later on during the day, Matt called them up and they said that they were going to open. Hallelujah! So I went after work. Jollibee’s face was lit up. The sectional beezyness was about 30 percent. There was a small line. I just got a banana langka pie. Off to practice afterwards. 40 more days to go.
Happy Birthday to my former fellow classmate Sandie and fellow former Tekkie Jackie. Hope they have a Jolli one!
