Kalihi Day 15. Today I came in the evening right free work and right before they close at 10pm. It’s the last day of the month. I was gonna go in the morning but then I thought about traffic. He drive thru wasn’t really getting any action. The dine in beezyness was about 15 percent. There were only a few people dining in today mostly local people. There was no line. However, I did notice that there was no barricade for a line as they brushed it off to the side. Today I ordered the same thing that I ordered yesterday which was a chickenjoy kiddie meal. They said that they ran out of toys which was completely fine with me. I think I have enough of those toys that they were giving out. They also didn’t offer me a pineapple quencher which I think they already ran out of. Sometimes I take the crispyness and juiciness and overall goodness of the chickenjoy for granted. Yesterday I got a drumstick. Today I got a thigh which I like better because there’s more meat, meaning more joy! 85 more days to go!
Kalihi Day 14. Today I came during the lunch time. Prior to ordering, I saw ma’am Mila and talked to her about Jollibees possible participation at the Filipino Fiesta. They she said that unfortunately they will be unable to attend due to their busyness with everything especially with the Jollibee Kalihi opening. The dine on beezyness was about 60 percent. There was hardly any action going on at the drive thru for some reason. Today I got a chickenjoy kids meal with the pineapple quencher. They gave me a toy this time. The dine in crowd was a mixture of teenagers, adults, kids, etc. I think I came in at a pretty good time before the real afternoon rush comes. 86 more days to go!
Kalihi Day 13. Today I came during the afternoon time before heading over to UH Manoa to perform tinikling one one of my Tek friends Ariel’s class. I went through the drive thru today. The drive thru beezyness was about 20 percent. It was not that busy today. The parking lot was semi full. Since I will be here for the next 80 something days, they might as well make a special lot for me the Jollibee kid right? Today I just ordered a pineapple quencher and peach mango pie. I wanted to get the banana langka but they ran out of it! I think they are probably waiting for a shipment. This reminds me of a couple years ago when I was doing a 100 days at Jollibee Ala Moana and they would always bee out of the peach mango pie when they first opened. Everybody loves peach mango pie. 87 more days to go!
Kalihi Day 11. Today I came through the drive thru. Originally, I wanted to dine in and have a halo halo to refresh myself after a morning and afternoon of performing with the crew. However, plans we ruined thanks to a full parking area. The drive thru beezyness was about 75 percent. When I first went in the drive thru line, there was about 7 cars ahead of me plus more were coming from behind and from the side. I wanted to order 2 peach mango pies and a banana langka pie but they ran out of banana pie so that forced me to get 3 peach pies. Today is my Tek friend Mae’s birthday. I would have done a Jollibee birthday for her but too bad jollibee isn’t a venue for it. I got the peach mango pies for my co-workers again since I had work later. 89 more days to go!
Kalihi Day 10. Today I came during the late night time like around 9:30pm so like half an hour before closing. I was iffy about the decision because I came after work where I ended at 9pm coming from Aiea. When I drove up to the store, it seemed like it was still poppin. The drive thru beezyness was about 60 percent. The drive thru seems to be poppin especially at a late night time like this. The dine in beezyness was about 40 percent. Today for dinner I decided to order a chickenjoy strips kids meal with a side order of corn and mashed potatoes. I tried to substitute the fries for the mashed potatoes but I guess they tried and their POS system doesn’t allow it. Anyways I just went ahead to order the side order of mashed potatoes along with corn. I think I only ate the jolly corn one time back at Waipahu. As soon as I started eating it again it was indeed a jolli feeling. For a Jollibee regular such as myself, if you are tired of eating the chickenjoy strips with the jolli crispy fries, you can eat it with the potatoes. And it tastes very good with the strips. What I noticed that wasn’t included in my order was a free toy. They also didn’t give me a choice of sauce. During my dine in experience, I noticed that there was a mixture of young and old people. There was a couple that was sitting near the front entrance of the store and they were the loudest ones in the store especially the guy because I think either he was high off some Mary Jane, high off Jollibee, or just plain high. 90 more days to go!
Kalihi Day 9. Today I came in during the afternoon time with my Tekniqlingz crew family, Mae, Kimmy, Nichelle, and Ryan. We went through the drive thru because we had to go to a photo shoot at the Filipino community center in Waipahu. The drive thru beezyness was about 60 percent. There were a few cars right ahead of me. We made two separate transactions. I ordered a yumburger kids meal with pineapple quencher drink. Ryan and the rest ordered their own stuff. Mae was telling me how fascinated people are when she tells about me and Jollibee. I think everyone enjoyed he drive thru experience. I told them that there was a process to coming to Jollibee which includes a social media check in and taking pictures. Our other friends, Josh and Ariel went in another vehicle. They also went through drive thru and orders their own food. As we were going out, I forgot to order food for our other friend Nico so we off we went tons second Jollibee visit to Waipahu. As we were driving down there, Mae and Nichelle were having fun playing with the Jollibee kiddie toy that came with their meal. 91 more days to go!
Waipahu visit 226. Today we came in the mid afternoon time to take a restroom break after going through the Jollibee Kalihi drive thru with my Tekniqlingz crew friends Mae, Nichelle, Kimmy, and Ryan. I picked up a crunchy chicken sandwich for Nico. As I was ordering I saw Rachele and ma’am Sandy working. Rachele was nice enough to hook me up with the sandwiches. She told me that she works two shifts one at Waipahu and the other at Kalihi. Talk about hard work, commitment, and dedication. After working at Waipahu she takes bus to Kaihi to work there. Nichelle picked up some mamons for herself for snacks.
Kalihi Day 8. Today I came in during the morning time roughly around 8 am. There was hardly anyone coming in through the drive thru. The dine in beezyness was about 30 percent. There was hardly a line. The people dining in consisted of a few older people of course. Every time I dine in here I always get the feeling of manong status having my cup of coffee and dining in with the older demographic. Today I got coffee and banana langka pie. Until they get the breakfastjoys that will bee my order in the morning. 92 more days to go!
Kalihi Day 7. Today I came in during the afternoon time for lunch. There hardly any cars at the drive thru. The dine in beezyness was about 60 percent. Before going in I used te restroom and saw a bunch of aunties sitting right next to the women’s room. Good thing that put chairs by the restroom area. It is no wonder they call the restroom a CR = comfort room. There was a mixture of young and older people but mostly teenagers most likely from Farrington hanging out, taking selfies, playing on their smartphone, and tsimissing about teenagers related stuff. There was hardly a line in I came in. It started getting busier later on. Today I got a spaghetti kids meal with a side order of fries. They didn’t offer me a choice between a kiddie soft drink or pineapple quencher. They automatically gave me a kiddie soft drink. Perhaps they ran out of the pineapple quencher for now. I got a side order of fries because usually when I eat spaghetti, I usually end up having some leftover sauce and sausages so I use the fries to act like I have more noodles because technically it’s all carbohydrates. I have to make sure I run a few miles later on. The spaghetti with extra fries combo is a good carbo load meal in my opinion. As I was about to eat my meal, I noticed that they gave me a spoon instead of a fork. I was like mannn but then again I can deal with it because I am pinoy like that. As I was leaving I managed to catch my Jaycee friend Pat, one of the people that brought the idea of going to Jollibee consecutively way back when Jollibee first opened in Waipahu and before the existence of the Jollibee Kid. My friend Josh just so happened to be waiting in the drive thru momentarily. Prior to coming my friend Matt came earlier to dine in here so I was like where was the invite? So far I haven’t been able to eat here with anybody else. 93 more days to go!
Kalihi Day 6. Today I came in during the afternoon time. Today I decided to go through the drive thru since I had to go to work later on. I came right after working out. Since I am going to have Jollibee everyday for the next 90 something days, I have to make sure I keep myself healthy and fit if you know what I mean. It was a rainy commute down. The drive thru beezyness was about 60 percent. There were about 6 cars in line. Today I just got two peach mango pies and one banana langka pie. I got the pies to take over to my co workers for them later on. Documenting my visit is pretty tough while visiting Jollibee. I think I prefer dining in. 94 more days to go!
