Visit No. 158. Today I came in after a meeting that I had with my fellow board Jaycee members Galileo, Randy, Heide, Karen, Jay, Mary, and Rachel. We had a small dinner at Max’s of Manila prior to coming at night. It was another exciting night because Galileo was about to eat his first ever Jollibee Hawaii meal at Jollibee Waipahu. The last time we came in he didn’t even order anything. I suggested to him to either eat the top 3 super powers of Jollibee which are the spaghetti, burgers, or chickenjoy. I had him try the big yumburger. I along with many others got the Halo-Halo. I also visited Red Ribbon to get some mango bars for my co-workers. There was a medium line for Jollibee and none for Red Ribbon. The dine in beezyness was about 25 percent.
Visit No. 157. Today I came in the afternoon time after doing some errands. There was a party happening around the store. I saw Ma’am Sandy and chatted with her for a bit. She says that Jollibee Ala Moana will be opening sometime in November. She mentioned that it will be small and not as big as the one in Waipahu. I think just having a Jollibee presence in Ala Moana will make everybody excited especially the towny Filipinos. I got a Halo-Halo thanks to her. I wanted to get a Mango Bar from Red Ribbon for one of my co-workers Matt but there was none. The dine in beezyness was about 85 percent. There was a small line for Jollibee and none for Red Ribbon. Matt also didn’t know that Jollibee was a bee until he looked at Jollibee closely. I thought that was funny.
Visit No. 156. Today I came in the morning because I went to Red Ribbon to buy some pastries and a cake for a Baby Shower. It was my first time buying and getting a full cake from Red Ribbon so I was pretty excited. There was a small line for both Red Ribbon and Jollibee. The dine in beezyness was about 35 percent. The cake I got was the Ube/Mango delight which is half Ube and half Mango. I also got 2 Pandesals, a multi mammon pack which contains Ube, regular, and Mocha Mammon, Taisan, Chocolate Chip Loaf, Banana cake, and mango bar. The baby shower was for fellow Teks Luigi and Lowella and I knew they both love Red Ribbon. I also noticed that the Jollibee statue was not outside but inside today. It was interesting to see.
Visit No. 155. Today I came in after work during the mid afternoon time. I heard that they had a new item in the store so I just had to come on down and check out the scopes. I found out that they have a new item called Chickenjoy Dip N Stripes. It’s basically chickenjoy breaded stripes with lean white meat which is good. The dine in beezyness was about 30 percent and there was a small line for both Red Ribbon and Jollibee. You can get 3 stripes for $4.49 or get it with fries for $5.49. You can dip it into 4 different types of sauces which are banana ketchup, honey mustard, ranch, or the world famous gravy. I got mines with banana ketchup as I dined in to make it hecka Pinoy. I saw Ma’am Mila and Sandy and asked me how I like it. I would say it is different from the regular chickenjoy but good nonetheless. Next time I get it, I’ll have to try it with honey mustard. Then I’ll be getting it more Americanized.
Visit No. 154. Today I came after doing a gig at the Hyatt regency Waikiki performing for the Filipino workers there. The dine in beezyness was about 40 percent. There was a small line for Jollibee and no line for Red Ribbon. There was a small party and got to see Jollibee dance. It looked pretty crowded as I walked and used the restroom. I got a spaghetti and yumburger thanks to Ma’am Sandy and dined in before leaving to go to another performance. They have another promotion going on for a raffle drawing during the rest of the year called “Hotdog and Bee a Winner.” They give you receipt along with a slip for raffle after you spend $20 along with a hotdog. The promo period is from September 5 to November 30. The raffle drawing will be held on Saturday, December 3 at 4PM at the store. The prizes are one Ipad 2 and 5 iPod shuffles. I could use an iPad.
Visit No. 153. Today I came with my friends Randy, Karen, and sister Heide. We came after having lunch with other fellow Jaycees for a bonding time lunch get together hosted by Rachel. The meal that we had there was super good which included banana belgium waffles, buffalo wings, and ice cream nachos. I used the restroom first and went to get a Ube and Mocha mammon from Red Ribbon. The dine in beezyness was about 55 percent. There was hardly a line for Red Ribbon and Jollibee. We noticed that Red Ribbon now does customized cakes which is super cool. The first one that we saw on the binder that they had was Hello Kitty which was perfect for Heide.
